The latest publication we would like to share by Ian Dadour, Forensic Entomologist and our Head of Research and Education is in conjunction with Gabriella Rakopoulou who is based in Greece.

This paper is not only about the attraction and preference of carrion flies to 3 different baits but more importantly focuses on establishing a species list of flies that utilise remains. In many regions across the globe, these taxa are depleted with very little developmental data for forensic use.

This publication fills a gap in the base knowledge of blow flies for Athens, Greece, and sets up the future foundation for the science of forensic entomology in this region.

The paper was jointly written with Gabriella Rakopoulou (University of Florida).
